Top Bible verses on lukewarm Christianity

Are you a lukewarm Christian?

Only God knows our hearts but we can test our position in Christ through Scripture. Christian terminology is being used incorrectly. The newer Bible versions are changing or missing out crucial verses, leading to misinterpretation of God's absolute truth. Just one incorrect passage can change our whole perspective on what is acceptable to God and what is not.

We are living in the age of deception and it's up to us to seek the truth, to not turn a blind eye because it pleases the flesh.

The saved but lukewarm / backslidden / fallen away Christian - God's Spirit lives in them, they are converted, born again but they currently have more interest in worldly things. They live for themselves, not for God.

The none saved lukewarm Christian - are either under a delusion that they are saved as they believe in a fake Gospel, or they pretend to be Christian. They may put on a show for others, usually to benefit themselves in some way. Christian in name only, they are not truly converted and have little to no interest in the things of God.

The saved Christian - conversely, the saved and on fire for God Christian follows His commands and teachings to the best of their ability. Mostly they struggle, a lot of the time they fail but still they strive for holiness as He is holy. They are in constant communication with Him and pray for His grace to sustain them during their tests and trials, which He brings about to sanctify and cleanse them from their sin.

"We cannot sanctify ourselves, We have no strength of our own. But we are to pray and call on the one who has all the strength to help us in our struggle against sin. We are to purify our hearts, take up our cross daily and crucify the flesh."

2 Timothy 4:3 - For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,

1 Timothy 4:1 - Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons,

Matthew 12:30 - Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

1 John 2:15-16 - Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.

Matthew 5:13 - “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.

1 John 3:10 - By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.

1 Corinthians 2:14 - The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

1 John 3:8-10 - Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.

2 Corinthians 13:5 - Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!

Matthew 6:24 - “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
